ACOACH

The Aboriginal Certified Officials and Coaches in High Schools (A COACH) program is a program funded through the Aboriginal Coaches and Officials Program (ACOP). The goals of ACOP are to bring understanding to cultural sensitivities, increase access to certification courses and training materials and to increase the number of qualified Aboriginal coaches and officials in Saskatchewan. The program believes that leadership development is crucial for the continued growth of Aboriginal people's participation in sport. The A COACH program will certify Aboriginal youth in coaching and officiating thereby developing young leaders within the Aboriginal community.
