Aboriginal Coaching Modules

Are you an Aboriginal coach looking to incorporate culturally relevant content into your sports program? Or are you a Non- Aboriginal coach who is seeking understanding? Do you want to be able to better coach Aboriginal Athletes? If so, the Aboriginal Coaching Manual Course is for you.

The Aboriginal Coaching Manual Course is a course that incorporates Aboriginal cultural content into the basics of sport and coaching. The manual is intended to:

• Provide culturally relevant courses for Aboriginal coaches and athletes
• Increase the accessibility of the NCCP to Aboriginal coaches
• Increase the capacity of non-native coaches to coach Aboriginal athletes
• Increase the number of Aboriginal certified coaches
• Improve the understanding of the application of Aboriginal culture in sport and coaching
• Make the wisdom of Aboriginal culture available to mainstream sport -
