First ever Coaches Week a success!
The Coaches Association of Saskatchewan is pleased with the results of the first ever Coaches Week held in Saskatchewan. The following activities and events took place during May 22-29 to celebrate and recognize the valuable role & contributions of coaches. Minister Dustin Duncan, officially proclaimed Coaches Week in the Province, Radio psas were run thanking coaches for their valuable contributions and encouraging people to get involved in coaching, a free NCCP Part A multi-sport coaching clinic was held in Carlyle, the Saskatchewan Coaches Conference was held in Saskatoon, a "Best Local Coach Story" contest was held with the Sask Weekly Newspapers, and the Sask media ran coaching profiles and did interviews with coaches in their communities. CAS would like to thank all the coaching partners who did something special for coaches during Coaches Week.

Coaches Week in Saskatchewan is an opportunity to say "thank you" to coaches across the province. Through their expertise, commitment and passion, coaches make a difference in the development of our children and the vibrancy of our communities.
Take the opportunity to thank coaches and encourage others to find out how they can get involved in coaching.
Become a Coach
Make a positive difference in your community…pick up a whistle and become a coach, its easy!
- Contact the local sport club in your community and find out about coaching opportunities.
- Link with your provincial sport organization.
- Take an NCCP coach training workshop.

Celebrate Coaches Week in Saskatchewan
The Coaches Association of Saskatchewan, along with the Province of Saskatchewan are pleased to announce that the first-ever Coaches Week in Saskatchewan will be held from May 22-29, 2010. The week is designed to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions coaches make to sport and their communities. The week also aims to promote coaching, encourage people to become coaches, and offer education opportunities for Saskatchewan coaches.

Olympians Wickenheiser and Makowsky to speak at Coaches Conference
The Coaches Association of Saskatchewan is pleased to announce that five-time Olympian Hayley Wickenheiser and 2010 Olympian gold medalist speed skater Lucas Makowsky are the keynote speakers at the upcoming Saskatchewan Coaches Conference.
